Jackie

Jackie Grzeskowiak, MEd

Wellness Specialist, IWS

For as long as I can remember fitness has been my PASSION! I competed in track and diving in high school and I was always intrigued by how the body can be trained to improve physically, mentally and spiritually. My philosophy on how to achieve wellness is to never stop moving! Fitness and wellness is discipline and a way of life that can be taught through motivation. Attempting to be fit and healthy can be very challenging, but the reward and the feeling of accomplishment is one of the best feelings that I love to help individuals achieve.  My goal is to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and motivation with all who are willing.

I hold a bachelors degree in physical education and a masters degree in exercise science from the University of Akron.
I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), certified group exercise instructor through the American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA), MADD DOGG Spinning instructor, BOSU and T-BOW Master Trainer, Cardio Kickboxing instructor, AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional, and STEP skills and choreography instructor.

In my spare time I enjoy travel with my husband and remodeling our home. I love to run and compete in 5k race up to half marathon distance. I also love to teach group exercise classes. I recently decided that I needed to try a new athletic endeavor and I will be competing in my first body building figure competition in October 2011.
